If I was in an accident then got a new policy months later. Which company would pay for medical expenses currently for injuries related to the past accident?

Okay, so today I answered the door and some random woman handed court papers (affafavit?) stating that my step-dad is being sued over a car accident. The exact amount the plaintiff(Heather Walter) is suing for is $40,000 for personal injuries. It also states that a person named Lisa Spear is getting sued as well by (Heather Walter) for $90,000 again for personal inuries and general damage? Two people getting sued by one person for the same thing basically! Doesn't the insurance cover all that? And what do you think about this case?

I was involved in a car accident this idiot hit me from behind in the toll plaza apparently under the influence, he admitted fault and his insurance is paying for a rental car and the repairs to my car, but I have been to see a chiropracter for my neck and back, which lead to 6 weeks of therapy.... is he responsible for payment of my medical bills and any pain and suffering???? If he only has liability on his vehicle? We live in Houston Texas if that makes a difference.

My wife and I recently married, and it's time for her to renew her insurance. Her driving record isn't great, so her rates have been quite high. Being that we're married, can I just add her vehicle to my own policy to save money, or will she need to have the insurance in her own name??

I would like to surprise my wife with a custom license plate for her car (her registration is coming due on 2 months). However, I have never been very good at figuring out what these plates say, unless they are obvious, so I am find myself unable to make one.

Therefore, I am coming to you all for ideas. I want it to have something to do with the fact that my wife is a Music Teacher. The hard part is, I am only allowed up to (may be less than) four (4) letters/spaces and I have to come up with three choices. The use of symbols and signs, such as a period (.), plus sign (+), dash (-), etc. are not allowed.

Any ideas?

Someone broke into my car Saturday, i waited until today to call the insurance. Calling was just another pain cause i kept on calling and leaving messages from 8am until 2pm when someone told me that the person handling my claim is gonna be at work tomorrow(Tuesday) No one was willing to help me. But i overheard that i have to pay $500 deductable and a cost of window if its less that $500. So what is the insurance gonna pay for when i pay the double amount for no gain. Do you think i should cancell the claim and pay for the new window myself. What is the estimate of a new window , and labor? Its my first claim and i was suprised with the way they handle claims. What if its rains while i'm waiting for them to call. Dont they train all their employees to handle all the claims to avoid waiting for someone who is off work?

So, what's so important about front license plates when some states don't have them. It takes away from the styling of the front of the car. I would never buy a car that has a sleek design hidden behind that license plate. Brochures and advertising doesn't show them and yet you are forced to have them. The license plate could be a small sticker on a bumper for heaven't sake.

the light is green, an intersection is coming up and all cars are moving. all of a sudden you hear an ambulance but it's still not in site yet. car1 and 2 are in the center lane. car1 decides to stop, while in the center lane, and already passed the pedestrian crossing lines. (basically she's practically in the middle of an intersection) car2, a working van carrying heavy equipment, breaks but with all it's weight it slides and still hits car1. who is at fault? is car1 supposed to yield and pull over to the right after the intersection or is the law "if you hit someone from behind you are automatically at fault"?

I am purchasing a parts truck to pull the motor and transmission from to put in another truck i have. The parts truck is a 1986 F250, and its body is only worth scrap metal. I plan on also removing the axles to hang onto, and after that, all that's left is a rusty frame, springs, and a rusty cab and bed. The front fenders are already gone.

The guy selling it to me has the title and insists on transferring it to me, but as i plan on never EVER driving or licensing this vehicle, do i just take the title and never sign it to my name? Or do i need to sign it to my name, so once i've stripped the truck to its frame and worthless parts, ready for the scrap metal scale, i can then sign the title over to the junkyard?

How do i buy this vehicle and part it out, leaving scrap metal that i'm not sure even is worthy of holding a title? Does the title go on record as "DESTROYED" and all i have is simple steel, or does my scrap iron still need me to pay for plates until it hits the heap?

I had my insurance policy cancelled due to late payment ,i found this out only after i had a major car crash,i calledm y agent and he said just pay up now and you will be fine.so i made my payment right away and after a week after my accident information came up ,the insurance company is telling me due to delayed payment they will review and consider if they are willing to pay for my damages.
I did not get a letter or mail of any form saying my policy was cancelled in addition i have an active policy right now so its only a slight delay on payment. How do i negotiate with the insurance company if they are unwilling to pay?
This is a big crisis and i am ready to give more details if someone wants to know more before taking a shot at this.
Tomorrow i need to call back Allstate on this and find out if they have reviewd and accepted my request.
Ofcourse they can bend the rules is what my agent said. Me talking to higher officials would help??
Please do read and respond.
