My wife and I recently married, and it's time for her to renew her insurance. Her driving record isn't great, so her rates have been quite high. Being that we're married, can I just add her vehicle to my own policy to save money, or will she need to have the insurance in her own name??

Will I need to specifically put her as a driver, or can I leave her info completely off the record?

You could do it.
There is a multi-car discount available from some companies (like 10% on each car after the first one). In our area the car that a person usually drives has its insurance priced based on the driving record of that person. What her car would add to the joint policy would depend on her rate but you two will have to pay the totat anyway and now you have a discount to help with it.

Hiya:
You MUST provide driver information. If you lie or misrepresent the facts allegations of fraud can be made against you. Not such a great thing.
It is likely going to be ideal for you to add her vehicle to your policy anyway. Most insurance companies offer discounts for multiple vehicle policies.
Make sure you keep your credit in line. If your wife takes some driver education classes you might be able to lower your rated, too.
Goodluck!

Normally, the owner of the vehicle carries the insurance on that vehicle. You can get a multi-car discount. She needs to be claimed on the policy though. I have State Farm and my wife has her own policy on her truck but we both are insured through the same company and agent and get the discount.

You can add her and her car to your policy. As a spouse, she is probably required to be on there anyway, even if she has her own policy. When you combine the cars, most places will give you a multiple car discount. You might want to check how much it would be for you to move to her insurance, or how long it will be until her violations drop off. If the will drop off in 6 months or less, it may be cheaper to leave her insured with them until they do drop off
