Here is the rub finding an attorney that will cost you. Then is the driver licence real? First check the DMV and get an address and see if there is any money to go after. You can spend a lot of money and frustration only to find out that person has no money. Lives in a rented house and drives around with out insurance. Add uninsured motorist to your policy.

You should have called the cops. Even in the case of a small fender bender, you should always call the police. They can take care of getting the other person's info for you with no hassle. If you have a friend in the police department, they can try and find this person for you, and find out if they have insurance. Either way, they are at fault and should pay for your damages. If you start having trouble with the other party, or their insurance company, get an attourney right away. They can scare the other party into paying for your damages, what ever they may be. Good luck! I've been there before.
As to the comment from the guy who works on nissans, not everyone who rents their home drives with no insurance: Don't stereotype people, it's wrong. Don't judge a book by it's cover, please.

Did u c the driver's lic. urself? Did u have any witnesses? Y didn't u call the cops n filled out an accident report? How long was it from the day of the accident 2 now? (if NOT 2 long u still can go 2 ur near police station n fill out an accident report w/ the 411 that u have from the other person).
PS: lawyers can do practically anything BUT...it will cost u 17% of whatever u'll get @ the end (if any) plus court fees n misceleneous....Good luck my friend.

Most of the time, if you file a police report, then they will get the other pertainent information that you need
