Someone broke into my car Saturday, i waited until today to call the insurance. Calling was just another pain cause i kept on calling and leaving messages from 8am until 2pm when someone told me that the person handling my claim is gonna be at work tomorrow(Tuesday) No one was willing to help me. But i overheard that i have to pay $500 deductable and a cost of window if its less that $500. So what is the insurance gonna pay for when i pay the double amount for no gain. Do you think i should cancell the claim and pay for the new window myself. What is the estimate of a new window , and labor? Its my first claim and i was suprised with the way they handle claims. What if its rains while i'm waiting for them to call. Dont they train all their employees to handle all the claims to avoid waiting for someone who is off work?

You have a terrible insurance company to give such poor service, please switch to Erie Insurance, Progressive or State Farm. I advise just paying out of pocket for the window replacement as it likely will cost about $400-$500 to replace so the insurance company would pay zero anyway, so cancel any claim with your insurance. You should go ahead and call a few auto window replacement companies as they may need to order the window as door windows aren't as readily stocked (windshields make up 75% of replacements).
