I'm not sure if I even ever received the title to my car, but I've just realized that I don't have a copy of it. My car is being financed, is it possible that my lender may have it, or do they simply have a lien on the title? How may I get a copy for myself? Thanks.

I was involved in a car accident this afternoon which, I believe, was not my fault. There was something on the freeway that I did not notice until after my car ran over it. I lost control of my car and hit another. My insurance is trying to pin fault on me. How do I fight them?

My car (04 Accord) was in a accident (not my fault, someone hit me in the back when I was stopping in the traffic light).. he accepted his fault completely & the insurance co. (21st insurance) declared total loss for my car.

They gave me a reasonable offer which I would be accepting it. They as asking me to sign the title & the power of attorney. Is it OK to send the signed title to the company.

I only have the letter from the insurance co. that they would give 13k$ for the car in exchange of the car title & the power of attorney.

Should I send the car title immediately or how should I proceed?

Me, my fiancee, and his father all have different opinons about a car crash that recently occured. I think all parties involved are responsible and should help pay to cover the costs. My fiancee says he'll pay it just to get it over with, and his dad said i'm "weird" and its my problem. A few months ago I got into a car crash with my fiancees truck and it was my fault i'm not denying that. However, my fiancees father voluntered to pay his car insurance for him and he had full coverage insurance as far as we knew so although it sucked, at least we were covered. Accidents happen thats why the world has car insurance. Well he had let his car insurance drop without telling us because he couldnt afford it. So now either me or my firancee has to pay the damages. Well if he had told us he was dropping our insurance, or needed help paying it we would have taken care of it!! But he lied to us about it instead, even months after the crash. Who should have to pay?

I don't know how, but the owner syas it was only a fender-bender accident but some how its salvaged. He's obviously hiding something.

What ever. He says the car runs perfectly, no problems, blah blah....

He says its not registered. I live in NJ, what would I need to do to REGISTER it and then also be able to use it legally?

Say for example an illegal immigrant lives in Maryland, but doesn't have a driver's license yet (and is are old enough to have one now), He travels to say .. New York, can he get hislicense from New York (NY allows illegals to obtain a driver's license)? Would that person have problems once he goes back to MD? Would he be able to drive without any problems or does a license have to be switched/issued from the state of MD? How long can he drive using that NY license?

I got into an auto accident while driving at a snails pace through a store lot;the other person backed into me at close range; I honked my horn as soon as I realized- but she continued on! At first she did not want to wait for the police, I insisted we wait. She called our mutual insurance co. to report it. Initially she admitted 100% fault-to me. I spoke w/ the ins. rep. but refused to do claims adjuster q&a; answered the basic identifying ?'s & confirmed that we were wearing our seatbelts; I provided my policy # to the rep. on the phone. Ltr I realized that the rep did not provide me with a claim number. I called the insco. back- the rep let it slip that I would need to go through claim q&a because my story of "she hit me" differed from what she had told. The hitter told them she was half way out into the lot when we connected--- trying to make it sound mutual! Untrue! End result, she got cited and the cop busted her for lying based on the phys evidence.
What should i do now!!!
