My drivers licens It's been ten years since iv'e had a licens Do to dwi medication legal they still want 18 months of driving school and 2000 dollors for the school in order to get my drivers licens back Is there a statue of limatation on this, Im 50 yrs old with a perfect pass driving recourd.

In some cases, DMV can grant a special license (often called a restricted license) that will allow a person to drive to and from school, to and from work or to and from medical care.

I don't know all of your circumstances but you would need to contact your local DMV to find out if you would be eligible for one. There are usually special requirements that you would have to meet before being granted one and they are typically only valid for a few months to a year.

Statute of limitations refers to criminal prosecution, so it has nothing to do with your case.

Depending on the state you're in, you may be able to get a hardship license that lets you drive to and from school only. Ask at the DMV.

If you have this on your record, they will not issue you a permit to drive at all. No statute of limitations.
