Hi.
I am a 16-year old who is about to move to CA.
I was wondering if it is possible for me as an non-immigrant with a student visa to apply for a drivers license.

And is it really worth getting it considering the 12 month period in wich one has to drive with someone who has a license, not being able to drive 24/7 and not driving with anyone who does not have a license?

Facts:
1) Seller gave buyer certificate of title to buyer (no photocopies made).
2) Seller kept license plates, which were surrendered at dmv.

compared to when you first get your license?

how much cheaper? rough estimate?

given that it's the same car that you'll be driving?

I have heard rumors that it is illegal to drive without car insurance; first of all, is this true? Secondly, if this is so, why? Many individual American motorists experience between 0-2 minor accidents in their lifetime, some of which are very minor (where both cars still run fine and there's just a bump or so). Any information would be useful.

Lets suppose you live in State A...and while on vacation in State B, your purse/wallet with your drivers license is stolen. What would be the correct thing to do in regards to a license, if you didnt want to drive home without one? Do you/ can you get on in the State you're in even though its not your home state? Is your only option to literally drive home without one?

If I do not report to DMV, would they know and what will be my outcome if DMV find out? The other party did not have any damage so they did not want to report anything. My car had a $4000 damage but I have a full coverage on my car. So, I decided to report to insurance company, someone hit me and ran. But, must I report to DMV? Would they find out? Would Insurance company report to DMV?

The guy who hit them tells the cop he smelled alcohol. They get busted for DUI. It was their first offense. Three years have passed without a repeat offense. Their insurance company never found out. Now they want to shop for cheaper insurance.

Will any insurance company they're considering still try to financially rape them for a policy three years after the fact ?

My car is registered in VA and I always thought that all registration costs were the same for all cars. Why does it cost more to register my car than my friends?

Do they go by vehicle value and if so, since when did they begin assessing different registration costs?

My boyfriend had a car accident yesterday. The car is my car. i dont believe my boyfriend should be held responsible. I have no car insurance. What happens if i dont agree to pay the damages? since i dont agree thats its our fault. I am located in Sydney,Australia. What is the law concerning that in Australia? Can i get a fair go if we go to court? the other driver has already made a claim with her insurance company. Is there any where i can go to to make a complaint about this law? i think it is so unfair that the law is, if you rear end another vechile you are at fault. most of the time its the front driver who caused the accident by breaking hard and giving no warning. the law is that we have to leave at least 2 meter gap when driving. With the legal speed right now being 60km - 70km, and 110km on a freeway. It is impossible to break fast enough even if you were at a 4 meter gap, let alone 2 meter! how can we get the law to be changed? what can they do to me if i dont pay?

i was recently in a car accident where the right passenger side door was rammed by another car. we called the police and wrote down reports and such.

now, the main question. my dad is the policy holder and i was driving the car with his insurance and registration. his insurance company asked if there are any other drivers at the time and he said no. At that moment, i had a license not too long ago about 4-6months. would my dad's insurance policy cover me? or will my claim be denied?

ok you want the full story for those that don't beleve me we payed the car of before i had my bub we where moving from nt to tas we got $2500.00 worth of work on it to get there as we got to a small town the car over heated we got a machaic to fix it (the loan was through a bank) anyway he said that the head had cracked so it would take 2 weeks to get the part so we left the car there and went to tas we kept intouch with this bloke anyway we finely got the money to pay for it so we got my sister to get the car she drove from dawin to the town and the bloke wouldn't let her take it anyway we paid the repairs the car had my newborns stuff in it that we couldn't take so the bank took the car and said we paid it off to early and we still owe $1000.00 on it we didn't have that money so it went on from there and then they rang not long ago and said we owe them nothing they made a mistake and the car was sold for $1000.00 its that a better story john paul.....
