Floridians-Buy car/insurance?

I live in NJ. Daughter lives in FL. Would like to buy a car in FL to use when I visit her. Can I buy car and insurance in my name if I am a resident of NJ with a NJ drivers license and visit s FL frequently.

I am not sure how that will work. Because even if it is possible the car will probably get messed up if you don't start it up and drive it around. But, you can always buy the car and have it under your daughters name. Than put the insurance under your name.
