I purchased a car from a vehicle donation program, the program is under investigation with the attorney general ..the vehicle was sold to me with a regular title ...which the program got with a mechanics lean..the ny motor vehicle made me go for an inspection and they are demanding recicpts for the parts which I cannot supply because of the court case,,,..do I have to go for a ny salvaged title inspection when the vehicle already had one in another state ??the dmv in ny is available mon thru thurs with this service

Ok, lets a person is driving their partner's car and meaning they live together and are not married, and they are driving home drunk, hits a park car goes over the roof and lands on the roof of the car they are driving so basically both cars look like crap no longer able to drive,the person that is driving drunk is a good driver never in trouble with the law,but they aren't coverd under their partner's insurance, is their partner's insurance company stil going to pay for all the damages to both cars even through there was a DWI and the person driving was 3 times over the legal drinking limit? If not what happends, do you go to jail and have to pay back all the fees? Are you safe for jail but have a certain amout of time to back back everything, it probably is going to be thousands of dollars worth of damages so the court should give some time to pay everything back right? Last question how long does that person loose their license for?

i am 17 and trying to get insured on a car, which i havent got yet, i am in the uk, so just wondering how much insurance will cost on average on a 1.4? all the cars i have seen are 1.6's but think they will cost too much in insurance...any ideas? am am thinking saxo's golf, mg zr etc...

Hi sligthly confused I had an accident last week, rang them up that day to report it, and then the following day with the rest of the information as I hadn't got it all.

Now a week later they have sent me a claims form which confuses me as I thought I had done that on the phone? Is there likly to be any sort of time constrant on handing this back? Plus is this normal for me to have to now fill out the claims form even though I gave them all the ifnormation on the phone last week?

I got a 2000 Dodge Neon a couple days ago and i was wondering how much the insurance will be a month? I'm a sophomore girl in highschool and i usually maintain a B average (you get about $25 off insurance for maintaining good grades). And how much will it be to get it licensed? I was told that after 6 months I can shop around for a new insurance carrier and would then be considered a customer with continuous, aka un-lapsed, insurance on the vehicle. The dealer had a sort of insurance, and it was brand new 0 miles, why does it not qualify for that discount right away? Continuous since day 1. Am I getting screwed? I wouldn't mind fighting for the discount, as I estimate a savings of $400 a year.

In 2005 i bought a brand new car. My dad signed and i co-signed because i was only 18 at the time. I have been on his car insurance ever since then and i pay for the car every single month. About 2 months ago me and my dad got into ahorrible fight and I took myself off of his car insurance policy and got my own. I do not live with him, i like with my fiancee. I will be married on saturday, then me and my husband will have our own car insurance together. Well my dad called me and left a threatening message saying i need to trade my car in and get a new one that is mine and only mine, because he owns that car and he doesnt want me having it! I have been driving for about two years. Being a new driver, my insurance rate is of course considerably high (on a side note, I think auto insurance is legalized theft).

Now. Aside from that, I received a speeding ticket. It was 83 mph in a 55 zone. Oops. In court, the judge reduced it from two points to one point on my license, and the record now shows 64 in a 55. Should I expect an increase in my insurance rates? I am insured with Allstate.

My partner was reversing his car out of our drive on sunday thre was a car parked half on the pavement opposite our drive and my partner reversed and hit it .There wasnt alot of damage apart from a broken wing mirror some scraped paint and a small dent .We said we would deal with it privatly as the owner worked for a garage he came back with a quote for £840 which i think is taking the piss as the car is 11 years old and is worth £640 if we go though insurance who is at fault is it my partner for hitting him or the other car for being parked illegally

btw i live in los angeles county if that matters....
it has been almost 6 MONTHS and i Still haven't fixed my car. no one else was involved at all. I hit the guard rail on the fwy. (i got a new suv and it was the first rain of the season.. nuff said.)

so anyway the cop took down my info so i guess a report was taken?? i haven't gotten anything in the mail....i want to fix my car but the damage turned out to be wayyyyyyyyyyyy more than i orig. thought. i thought it was just body damage....

The thing is, I live with my grandmother who is too old to drive, and I have a license, and I'm trying to figure out how I could buy the car and who can get its insurance.

Also what if an aunt or uncle living at another address buys the car for me, and they insure it, and I just drive it?
