Insurance for a 16 year old is going to be high regardless of the car.
Since a 16 year old cannot buy their own insurance, they would have to be carried on their parents policy. The increase for adding a 16 year old driver to the policy is huge.
Depending on where you live, how far you drive the car, where it's regularly garaged, what the family history is for accident claims, any tickets or criminal convictions, etc, the policy can jump up from a thousand dollars a year to more than six or seven thousand dollars a year.

Absolutely. First of all, any insurance for a 16 year old male is really expensive because of two factors.
1. You're a boy
2. You have little driving experience
I know this seems sexist but males are scientifically proven to be bad drivers at a young age. Once you turn 24-27 depending on your state your insurance rates will drop drastically.
Also, that car is a 2 door. Insurance is more expensive on a 2 door car because if somebody is in the back seat and you have an accident they have no way to exit the vehicle unless they crawl over the front seat or something like that. 4 Door cars are a bit more sturdy and you are likely to have less injury in them. Also, you want to have an adult on your policy to keep your rates down even if they don't drive your car. I hope this has helped out.

Dont hear to human beings. My 1st vehicle exchange into an integra on the age of 18 and that i enjoyed each little thing approximately it. tender holiday, no issues, the areas have been much less costly and the motor vehicle looked good. Im 23 now and that i very own a 2006 tl. The integra will make you a super Acura fan. Take it from me I offered my integra for a nissan altima and that piece of junk fee me greater interior the long-term then the different vehicle.

Insurance is always high for a 16 year old male. This car is not going to make the rates any lower, that's for sure.

Insurance rates are always high for teengers regardless of the car they're driving....My advice is that you go under one of your parents/guardian insurance policy. You save more money that way.
