well i had just fixed the transmission so i want to get my money for the trans because once they total out the car they are going to auction off my car. they can easily sell my tran, its in perfect condition.
i know the insurance is going to handle the claim but they wont want to give me anything for my tran and its an older model vechicle and my trans was $800!
my airbags deployed and my neck is pretty bad, is the attorney ness. at this point?
f.y.i it wasnt my fault the guy was came out of the gas station and he was sideways on the oncoming traffic lanes, instead of the middle turning lane. i had no time to react, i slammed on the brakes(it was raining) so i just slit/slided right into his front right fender

An attorney who advertises on TV has to pay for that advertising, and will probably take a bigger cut of any award you get than someone you find in the yellow pages.
Make sure they say 'initial consultation is free', so you can discuss the accident and not be charged for the first office visit.

First off, none of those lawyers will be able to help you with the claim for the car damages. None of them know anything about cars and don't want to handle those type of claims.
Second, you will not get dollar for dollar on your $800 you spent on the transmission. The car needs an operating transmission to have a true retail value anyway. So spending the $800 does not increase the value of the car by $800.00. You might get a few bucks added to the value of the car if the repairs were done in the past couple of weeks.
Third, wait and see what the company offers you for the injury first before getting an attorney. IF you don't like the offer then it is time to consider getting an attorney.
Good Luck

ugh, first of all.. attorney or not.... you will get actual cash value of your car... your not just going to get the price of your transmission added to the value.. "older model vehiclesNEED new transmissions.. that doesnt add value.. its keeps your car running! .... if you didnt have it.. you would have gotten less then you are getting now.
I cant say it enough.. no attorney will take a property damage claim... they know they cant win anything (and lawyers are all about money.. trust me...)
Sure, maybe expect 200 bucks or so over actual cash value for your transmission.. but you will NEVER i repeat NEVER get 800.00 extra dollars.
Now for your injury.. whatever.. if you want a lawyer.. get a lawyer. Its funny b/c people think they will gain more money for a lawyer.. and this isnt the case. I see people lose money hiring one daily. But if you want your case to take a very long time.. and you dont think you can handle it yourself... sure.
I just think any intelligent person can handle a simple injury claim.

go back and see if anyone inside the gas station saw the accident, then call your insurance company and tell them what happened, explain that the car was aross oncomming traffic, sounds like to me he was in a hurry and didnt want to wait, and let your insurance company talk on your behalf.tell tham about the trans, show them the bill for it.dont let either side rush you into anything, you have rights too,if you dont like whats is happening then contact an attorney.

Well the insurance should handle the claim for you. It also depends what state you are in. States vary depending on if you are at fault. Did the other guy get injured, did you get injured. If it's minor then no, if it's a serious accident then I suggest you go and get a free consultation. If the are in life threatening injury, they can sue your butt off. But depending on the severity of the situation. Good luck.

Go again to in which the collision happened and appear to peer if the opposite automobile had any visitors manage gadget, i.e. quit signal or sign. If there's none, then it was once your accountability to attend till you might input the intersection effectively. The motive of the collision isn't that you just did not quit, it is that you just did not yield to a different automobile. Sorry you're going through fiscal problems, however I do not see how you're going to hinder it.

If it was raining and the roads were slick, you may have been traveling too fast for existing conditions, which would lay some of the liability on you.

What the hell do you need a lawyer for? Let your insurance company sort it out. That's what you pay them for. The only people those slimeball lawyers help is themselves.
