i am going to get my driving permit soon, and i am also going to start school soon. i turn 18 in December and i do not want to wait until then to be able to drive alone.My friend told me when he had his driving permit that his school gave him a permit that allowed him to drive to school. do all high schools provide that? (I go to palisades charter high school)

I do not know how the Board of Education would have any say-so over the State Department of Motor Vehicles. A permit has one purpose. That is to allow you to practice your driving skills while with a licensed driver.

In Maryland there is no such thing, I would definantly check with your school before attempting this, as it could cost you very deeply. Most states have a rule that you must have someone in the car at all times over the age of 21, and they must be a licensed driver.
