Guys, I still can't seem to find an answer even on the DMV website. More help needed! Remember, I'm from California.

If a provional license requirement is having a licensed driver with you, the insurance has nothing to do with you driving alone. You can't. Even if you had a full license, the insurance has to have you named on the policy or cover anyone who drives the car for you to be legal.

It depends on state laws and insurance. With my "Level 1" license, I could only drive with a lincensed driver age 21 or older until I got my real license by law.

if you have a valid drivers license you can drive a insured vehicle,if there is restrictions follow them

absolutely NOT...i argue this with my teenager all the time...you MUST have a licensed/insured driver in the car with you at all times...sorry but that is the truth
