Seemingly I had left my car in the car park for more than one and a half hours allowed hence the £70 fine. The letter also states that if I pay quickly I will only have to pay £45. I think this letter was from the company that runs the car park for the supermarket company.
Is the company within its rights to fine me £70.
Where do I stand legally.
Should I pay this £70 fine to the supermarket car park company or not.
I would much appreciate some advice on what to do.
THANKS.

I totaled my 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Friday night and got a DUI. I have been with Nationwide for a number of years, and had a pretty exemplerary driving record. I was paying about 100 dollars a month full coverage as a 26 year old male on my Jeep. Does anyone have an educated guess at what my insurance rates will do now? I'm trying to decide, when I get my license back and buy a new car, if I should be looking at a sports car with full coverage, or if insurance prices alone are going to make me want to get something cheap with liability coverage. By the way, I live in West Virginia.

My oldest son and daughter have not lived with us for over a year. My oldest son never changed his address on his driver's license. My daughter married and says she changed her address and name on hers. Neither of them have lived with us for well over a year. Our insurance company still shows them as licensed drivers in our household. They even show my daughter with her maiden name! We have explained time and time again that neither of our oldest children live with us anymore and we can't control whether or not they have updated their licenses. (I believe my daughter has, but know my son hasn't even though we've told him to numerous times since he moved out). Now our insurance is threatening to cancel because we refuse to pay extra for our son and daughter who no longer live with us and haven't for a long time. What do we do to fix this problem? Even if we go to another insurance company, I'm sure they will think our son and daughter are still living with us when they aren't. Grrrr!!!!

Should the rental car call me to their place to show me tha damages of the car or even made a phone call that the car was found and should they give an on the spot estimate or call me on the phone or mailed me a letter regarding the damage of a stolen car? I rented a car the loss of one day i asked my visa insurance to pay it its 56$. SO i told the rental to deal with them abt the 56$. What happened I did not know that they were askin my insurance damages for the car I rented w/c is 545$. I did not receive a letter dat there were damages. Is this acceptable? 4 months after the recovery of the car they sent me a letter stating that my visa did not pay the 545$ and I should pay it. They also sent me a quotation of their company but not the quotation of the vendor were they said they bought the parts. There was is Wheel kit that cost 310. What was that ? Do i have to question them about this and ask them for police report of the damages when the car was found?

I was at the mall and while pulling in tapped the silver car next to me.. of course the lady was in the car sleeping! The scrape is no thicker then this --------------------------------- and no longer then 2 inches. I gave the girl all my info and she said shed call me with how much she wants me to give her. ( Something about her husband may be able to fix it.) We both prefer not to go through insurace. How much do you think I am going to have to shell out for this? I took pictures, is there anything I can do if she gives me a rediculous price, or no..?

I got into an accident last week. My Honda Civic is a total loss after the collision. The person who collided with my car is at fault. Knowing how insurance companies like to lowball people, I expect that they would offer a low price for compensation. Is it possible to negotiate the compensation? Any good tips with negotiating?

Hi guys. I am tring to obtain my drivers licence for the first time. I just turnned 18 in April. I need to know if I would need a drivers licence for at least a year before I can drive out of state. I currently live in the state of Connecticut with my parents but I am plainng to visit Florida for part of my summer (this means I would need a rental car). I am also in the process of making an appointment for a drivers test. I need to know what the state says about when you can legally drive out of state. My friend said that he heard you need to have the licence for at least a year before you can drive out of state. I am not sure of that. My Florida trip is at the end of July (last weekish)

Pleas help. Thanks a lot- John.

I have liabilty insurance, since full coverage at my age is ridculous, and I was in an accident last night. There was no yeild or stop sign and the lady just stopped as i was looking for cars coming i rear ended her. The police came and he said when i call my insurance company, to say that I was at fault but i wasn't given a citation. Two people I know said that since I wasn't given a citation that my insurance might still cover me. Is this true? I'm in the state of GA too btw.

I was in my garage parked, behind my garage is a fire lane, no one is supposed to park there but people do because it gets crowded around here where I live.

So anyhow my garage is on a slope up so when I looked out my rear view mirror I saw nothing, I backed up and I hit this stupid little car.

I'm told if there is a car parked illegally in a fire lane and someone hits him, he's automatically at fault, is this true??

I rented a car for a day in another province, gave it back to the rental office but it was close already. So i went to the drop box to deposit the key, but a man who pretended to be an employee stood by the drop box and asked he will drop the key for me. I saw it when he dropped the key. I have witnesses too. So i went back to my province and the next day i called the rental if everything is ok. They told me the car is missing. They charged me for a second day in w/c i paid and then 4 months after they charged me for car damage when it was lost for 1 day. I did not purchase the rental insurance. they have billing statement of the replacement but it was their own car maintenance that issued it. they are asking me for 545$ and its beyond my 2 weeks of work because i dont earn too much. What if i am the defendant in the court and i lost what will happen? I dont have money to pay it in 15 days. And what if I opposed to the man who pretended to be an employee and he hurt me? help

So today we had a work sponsored team building event at a local country club. (It was a team building event). When I returned to my car after the event I found that my drivers side door had been keyed. Should I try and have my company pay for the damage to my vehicle since it was a company event that I was required to attend? If I go through my insurance company then my rate will increase. What do you think I should do? Am I totally sh** out of luck here?
