I just got my liscence and my friend told me that car insurance is more expensive for 16 year olds than 17 year olds because they have increased chances of getting into an accident. What are the average rates of insurance for sixteen year olds and is it worth waiting until I am 17 until the prices drop?

Got a massive ticket, but not in the state I used to live in. That state said I have to take a defensive driving course or have the license suspended. Since then, I've moved and gotten a new vehicle with a completely different policy. The ticket was never noticed by the ins company back in the old state, and since I've gotten a new license, in the current state, can I not take the class and not have the suspension happen?

i got into a car accident 4weeks ago. the person begged me not to call her insurance company n said she'd pay for everything. after i got my estimate then she decided not to pay b/c its about 4000. it took her 2weeks to decide. i already talked to both of my insurance company n her insurance company. it wasn't my fault, and i have a witness. i don't want to use my insurance b/c i have to pay 1000 deductible and i'm not sure if i can get it back, and why should i if it was that person's fault. her insurance company said i should just use my insurance, and my insurance company said it'd be easier to use her insurance. what should i do? should i just wait? b/c i really don't want to pay a 1000 dollars.

The landlord asked me to move the old car or it would be towed. I was gonna just junk it but then my boyfriend asked could he use it to drive a cab part time. I said yes,We parked it on the street and he promissed he would have it towed to a shop in a few days. Its been sitting there for about 2-3 weeks now. I noticed that it had some tickets on it the other day. I went online to check it out and seen that the tickets racked up to $1,600 they have been ticketing the plates for my current car. How is this possible? It has the old cars vin# but my current plate# on all of the tickets. I am concerned about this because My insurance is in someone elses name. I was trying to see if I could probably get some of these tickets thrown out or reduced before I let the person know? Does anyone have any idea what I Should say in court? The tickets are for exp registration (eventhough I transferred the reg. to the new car) exp. inspection and rear plate missing. Anyone have ticket beating advice?

I had car accident last week. The driver who drove against traffic regulations was driving his father's car. Unfortunately, his father has an contract that if people (exclusive himself) drive his car and make accident, the insurance company will not do any compensation on that case.

However, his son drove the car and he didn't stop and take his turn when the traffic light of the intersection was not working. So he hit a pick up first and than the pick up hit my car.

If the insurance company will do nothing on this case, should I ask the car owner for my vehicle repair?

I had an accident in Houston, TX, and the illegal immigrant who hit me had no license or insurance. The cop said that he could not arrest him. I got screwed out of paying $3000 in damages for my car because I have only limited liability, which covers other drivers hit by me. What legal action can I take againt the illegal? what are my next steps now? Can I put a lien on his car?

Last Monday night I was hit by and 18-wheeler truck (not my fault). Some how by the grace of God I was not injured - not even a scratch. However my car was totaled. The guy who hit me was sited for illegal lane change. My insurance company has been handling the claim. We just got the police report today. Meanwhile my insurance is trying to pressure us into settling with them for the amount of my car and it's only been a week since the accident. Plus they said I have to pay my deductible and may not get it back.

We want to go after the trucking company but my insurance is rushing us thru this process. They are now threatening to take away my rental car if we don't take their settlement. I'm not so worried about the rental car, but why are they rushing us thru this?

Also, if we decide to take the money from my insurance, can we still go after the trucking company? I was thinking about getting a lawyer but I wasn't injured. HELP! NEED ADVICE! What are my rights?

I accidently lost my license about a month ago. As soon as I realized it I went to sec. of state to get a new one. They said it would be here within a month. It's been a few days over & I still haven't received it yet. My temp. permit expires in July. How long does it usually take to come in the mail? Should I wait until June 30 and then contact them or what?

My son was given his stepfather's car before he died..but unfortunately they didn't get it transferred before my ex's death. His daughter is the executor and alto she doesn't want the car she won't give him a death certificate or necessary papers to transfer and register the car. Is there any way to bypass her and get it done so the car is legal and useable?
