check to see if the car park has surveilance and taped. if it does then BINGO! apart from that, they should have some of your paint on their car and some of yours on theirs. if they go to the same place often then you might be able to pin the bastard. take it easy r.

If you don't know who hit it, whose pocket should it come out of? Mine?
It's too late now, but if you come out of a mall or someplace and see your car has been hit, first check to see if anybody left a note on your windshield. There are a few decent individuals left in this society. If not, look around and see if there is anybody in the immediate vicinity of your car. You are looking for witnesses, ask people if they saw anything. Call the police, even if the accident occurred on private property, they will still investigate and give you a case number. If the damage is minor, you decide whether you want to leave it as-is, pay for it yourself, or go through your insurance company. It's a hit and run accident, so it shouldn't count against you. If you want to go through insurance, call your insurer's claims number and get the ball rolling.

Unfortunately, without a witness, or video tape evidence, it's almost impossible to find out. While it isn't "fair", too bad, life is that way sometimes. If you file it on your insurance, yes, it can raise your rates , especially if you keep filing for things like windshield replacements, etc. If this is the only thing, then once usually won't hurt your rating. That all depends on your insurance company, too. Your options are limited, unfortunately, Try to look around to see if there are any cameras around the lot, or even on other buildings, maybe you can pay another building security firm for a copy of their tape, if they caught something. Good luck! You'll need it.
