We have insurance for everything else....when will they start offering some kind of insurance that would help pay for auto repairs? My SUV is getting on the older side and needs some minor repairs, but like everything without payment up front and in full, I cannot get it done! I wish there was kind of insurance for this. We have pet insurance, why not auto mechainc insurance! Do you agree?

Yesterday at school me and a girl backed our trucks into each other. We were both parked behind each other in the school parking lot and backed out at the same time. She ended up pullin out faster than me and i hit the side of her truck with my bumper. It put a tiny dent into the side of her truck. She wants me to pay for her truck getting fixed, since nothing happened to my truck. I was just wondering what the insurance company would do.. cuz it was both our faults.. so would my insurance pay or would hers for her truck?

Thank you for your help!

I had a minor accident this past weekend due to icy roads (single car accident) but I put the truck in the ditch. Somehow, although going slow (no ticket given or anything) I bent up the tire- not the rim- the tire is sitting with the top leaning inward now. I was told that I probably bent the axle. There was very little damange otherwise- it will need a new bumper, passenger door, and a passenger door mirror besides the wheel work. I spun into a 4" in diameter tree. Tree did not even break just "knicked" the tree- the truck looks worse than the tree by far but like I said- the truck even looks like it has very little damage. It is a 2003 Ford Ranger and I do have a good insurance company. What is the chance they will try to total out the truck due to the bent axle and maybe a minor flaw with the frame right there. The axle is probably bent but the shop was not sure about the frame yet as they are looking into it all today. They told me they can straighten the frame if necessary.

My car failed it's MOT on the weekend, it needed about £300 more work sone on it after the service & MOT so I was putting it off until pay day next Friday. Wihtout MOT is my insurance completely invalid? If so I guess I'll personally have to pay for the damage but will I also be in trouble for driving without valid insurance?

Say someone has too much to drink and his responsible buddy takes the keys and decides he will be better suited to drive home. The car is insured by the passenger, the driver is insured on his own vehicle, but not the passanger's vehicle; if they get into a car accident and the driver is at fault, whos insurance (if any) covers the collision? Would it change if someone lent their car to a friend and weren't actually in the vehicle?

At the time i was in shock so never thought to be getting insurance details and all that kinda stuff be thinking of getting the reg extra. as i knew the garda would get it. I hae been in toch with him but since i've told him the price of the damage (3k) he's stopped answering my calls. The Garda that was at the crash isnt in work until friday and at that will be hard to contact.. is there anything else i can do other than just wait?

I think that they should allow them to have a license. Since there going to be driving anyways, If maybe they had a license more might get insurance. I think it is sad for those that have insurance and some who is illegal and does not have insurance then your s---- t out of luck. They are going to keep driving there here one way or the other and need to live so there going to drive no matter what.

ok, well some1 crashed in2 my car 2 weeks ago & I filed a police report, made a claim with the insurance co. (I have fully comprehensive insurance & am not at fault) & gave them the other drivers name, Ph. & rego number.. then insurance called me & asked 2 get the other driver address.. so I called him & he gave me his work address (he didn't tell me this at the time) so I passed that on2 insurance.. meanwhile he kept asking me if he could get 1 of his mates to look at my car that works in a panel shop & get him to look at it without going through ins.. I told him I'd think about it & he said he'd call me the next day.. he never called.. so I processed the claim, got my car assessed & have it booked in next week at a shop within walking distance of my house 2 get fixed... well now my insurance co. has called saying that the other party is being unco-operative & not supplying his real address so according 2 them I have 2 call the other driver & get his home address or I have to pay an
