It's called Mechancial Breakdown Insurance and it's offered through dealerships at the time of purchase OR some insurance companies offer it...I know Geico does. But your car has to be a certain age to even get it--practically brand new--and you still have to pay for the repairs upfront & submit your receipt for reimbursement.

No there will not be a insurance company that will not fix a car that is needing basic repair from normal use. If your car was in a accident and caused mechanic work then it would be different. I wish that was the case, I could have used some of that help my self.

I don't know.. you need to look over your insurance policy to see what is covered. But I think you are referring to roadside assistance. It was funny because when I had my cell phone with alltel, they had mr roadside, and my gas gage was broke, and I ran out of gas, and i could call that number and someone would give me like 5gal of free gas!!! But if you do have roadside assistance, there might be no charge or some kind of deductible. But you mihgt have to sign up for AAA or something. That would be the best thing.

no,there's not actually nothing that will cover it that way, triple a has road service coverage ,but it only applies to getting towed or having a flat repaired or getting gas ,it doesn't cover any major repairs at all, actually no one does this,if they did they,d go broke in less than a month, everyone would be blowing engines just to get a new one, good luck,i hope this help,s.

What you are describing sounds like an extended warranty or service contract. They are available from car dealers at the time of purchase, but I don't know if you can buy one otherwise.
