Do you want the clean answer or the dirty answer?

Clean: Either ride the bus, get a ride, borrow an insured car, or borrow the money for insurance.

Dirty: Drive without insurance -- very carefully -- until you get your first paycheck. This is illegal and if you do it, nobody will be responsible but yourself. But it's a very common solution.

IANAL.

Let's see, I walked, I rode a bicycle (even when I had a car), I took a bus. Funny, all those options are still available, haven't you heard?
