I am in New Jersey. They are predicting a lot of snow on the day that I'm supposed to take my test for my liscence. If there's a lot, will it be postponed? Or will they just make me take it anyway? And how do I call to reschedule if I can't get there?

I haven't had any claims on my auto insurance and I've been with them for 8 years. I backed into a parked car (no body in it) and the estimate to fix it is $2360. My deductible is $500 and there was no damage done to my truck. Should I file a claim or pay out of pocket.

What's the weirdest insurance claim you have heard about? I came across this one: “A frozen squirrel fell out of a tree and crashed through the windscreen on to the passenger seat”.

Before backing out of my driveway I had made sure that street was clear from both sides. Once I had reversed all the way and changed the gear into drive a car hit my van on the driver's side fender. When that car hit mine, my foot was on the brake and gear was in drive. According to Alberta law whose fault is it?

I know the frame of my car was damaged when I was hit last week. The front end of the car is torn off, front drivers side axle broken, and the frame is smashed. In addition drivers side rear quarter is hit, with rear end torn off. Does frame damage = total?? I think that once upon a time it did...but now???

Both my grandmother and myself are on my car's title, and it is paid off. I have full coverage insurance on it, but she is not on my policy. She doesn't have an insurance policy because she rarely drives and can't afford it. If she is driving and is involved in a wreck, no matter who's at fault, will everything be covered?

I am currently on my paretns insurance and will be getting my own insurance once I buy a car. I am taking a defensive driving course at the end of the month which will qualify me for a discount on my insurance premiums.

If I get insurance before I take the course, will I be able to get eth discount once I have taken the course, or do I have to wait until I purchase my next 6 months of insurance?

My husband and I got divorced on Monday. He wanted to take our truck (which we owe twice what it's worth) so I let him have it. The loan and the title are both in my name. I am required to turn it over to him at the end of the month. He has 90 days to get a loan and title it in his name. If he fails to do so, do I still have to carry insurance on a vehicle I can't drive??? I'm not wanting to pay $120 for something I dont' have possession of!!

So we all like to save as much money on auto insurance as possible. I'm debating switching to Geico cus it'll save me about $120-240 a year (i'm starting to sound like a commercial). Anyway this is a question for people who currently have or had Geico Auto Insurance. I hear internet auto insurance companies tend to be bad when it comes time to file claims etc. I haven't had an accident (knock on wood) but if it happens, I'd like to know i wouldn't have a huge run around dealing with Geico..any good or bad experiences with them?

My SUV was rear-ended by a tractor trailer on an interstate off ramp 3 months ago. I'm 34 & this was my 1st accident ever. My bumper only had $800 worth of damage. My 10-yr old daughter, 5-yr old son, and I went to the emergency room the next day because we had severe neck & back pain. We were diagnosed with muscle spasm. Two weeks later, my daughter & I started chiropractic care because our pain had not subsided. We went to the chiropractor for 2 months. My daughter has completely recovered and I only have mild pain in my neck when I turn it. How much should I ask for in my insurance settlement with the trucker's company? ( Oh yeah, I live in N.Carolina and our medical bill totaled $8,000)

who then will become liable if you are in an accident that the uninsured driver caused, and if you are not required to have auto insurance how does that effect you if you are traveling from state to state.
