So we all like to save as much money on auto insurance as possible. I'm debating switching to Geico cus it'll save me about $120-240 a year (i'm starting to sound like a commercial). Anyway this is a question for people who currently have or had Geico Auto Insurance. I hear internet auto insurance companies tend to be bad when it comes time to file claims etc. I haven't had an accident (knock on wood) but if it happens, I'd like to know i wouldn't have a huge run around dealing with Geico..any good or bad experiences with them?

I've had great experience with them all the way around, and I've been with them for over 6 years. Best customer service around, I'd definitely recommend them! (I only had one claim and it was handled timely and very satisfactory)

Hi Gavin,

In EVERY car-insurance company you will have people who have had bad experiences.

Geico is actually very good, but STATE FARM is bigger than Geico and most of the other ones put together.

When you look at an insurance company you look at spending power, which translates into efficiency and agility in resolving your claim. You would do good with either one though.

Unfortunately, one comes to realize how good an insurance is when it comes time to resolve a claim.. and by that time, it's too late.

Play safe.

I have Geico.. I had Progressive before.. I have never had to file a claim with Geico, but I have with Progressive..Progressive was a little more expensive about $80 more a month, but when I was involved in an accident (it was not my fault) they paid of my car and gave me some extra money..I have never had an accident with Geico..so I don;t know. They are less expensive though..
Which you know the old saying: You get what you pay for" and I can imagine it could not be more true than when it comes to Insurance!

We have Geico now. No problems with them at all. I had to make one claim and 2 days after filing the claim I had a check for the repairs. State Farm requires good to excellent credit in order to get a great rate. Don't be misled by the State Farm quote when you do one online.
