I got a seat belt ticked a few years ago. I sent in the payment and it must have gotten lost. I got pulled over and was ticketed for driving while suspended. Not I have a driving while suspended on my record all because of not paying a $25.00 ticket. I live in Indiana.

I got into a car accident with my friend's car. I just moved down to Va and didn't have a car to work with yet. I offered to insure the car under my name and he plainly stated, don't worry about it. It's covered with my insurance and if something happens, you'll have to just pay the detuctible. Now as this has happened, he doesn't want to claim it on the insurance and wants me to pull 5,000.00 out for repair costs. He then changed his mind to get the car fixed on the insurance but is still taking me to small claims court for the 5,000.00. He won't just take the detuctible. Does he have a right to sue? If so what can he sue for? Thanks, Morgan

My younger brother was rear ended at an entrance to a parking lot. Before turning into the parking lot a man hit him from behind, so they both pulled into the parking lot to check out the damages. My brother only took the man's first name and phone number. He called the man for his insurance policy and the man does not want to give the policy number to my brother. He wants to pay for the damages out of pocket. Yes, my brother did agree to this at first, but his a new driver and was probaly nervous about the accident at first. Any advice please...

I have a friend that had an accident about 6 months ago, the guy hit her car but did not do much damage. they had a verbal agreed ment not to get the insurance involved (not knowing the guy had no insurance). the guy paid her 200 dollars that same week and agreed to pay the rest later little by little. every time she calls he gives her the run around and its been 6 months. the only information my friend has is his bussiness card were he works. she didnt get his license info or anything like that. my first question is: is it to late to file a police report? and can she file a law suit with the little information she has?

I've never owned or driver a car in LA for the last couple years I've lived here. I owe $500 for a jay-walking ticket that I didn't pay (I'm an idiot - I know) but now I want to apply for a CA license and register a car (I already have CA state ID). Can I pay $100 now and $100 a month but in the meantime have a car registered under my name?

My parked car door was hit by a man in a truck cutting through the lot in order to get to a street. He contends the door was thrown open, I'm fairly certain the door was open the whole time as I was loading my children. The only undisputable facts are that I was parked, loading kids, he passed by (too closely?) and hit my door. Any similar incidents/knowledege of?

It was the other person's fault, but now the insurance from the other guy says they will only pay 85% of the damage because we didnt file a police report and we have conflicting stories. Its kind of odd, you would think they would pay all or none. what you guys think?
