I am a claims adjuster and I can assure you a lawyer will not help you collect more money. A lawyer will only take about 1/3 of your settlement so you end up with less.

Insurance companies will pay whatever is reasonable and necessary. There must be a reason why they are only offering 1/2 for your repairs and doctor bills. Make sure you get a clear explanation from AllState. Most of the time, insurance companies cut bills because they are overcharged. If a doctor charges $1 million dollars for a band-aid, it doesn't mean the insurance should pay for it.

After AllState explains the reasoning for their offer and you still feel it is unfair, report them to the Department of Insurance in your state. The DOI will investigate and this is a big slap on the wrist for insurance companies.

If the other party has insurance file a claim through there company. If not file a claim through your company all you should have to pay is your deductible in some cases you get your deductible back. If this does not work contact a lawyer.

This is the way insurance companies work, this is how they make their money by paying just enough. You should seek legal help, once you get a lawyer on them they'll start to realize that you mean bussiness.

You need a lawyer. Don't sign any papers. There are a lot of no recovery no fee lawyers out there.

Is Allstate your insurance company or the other party's? If there's, who is yours?
