I am supposed to go take my BEHIND THE WHEEL test for my liscense at the DMV tomorrow. I live in California, and my test location is in Santa Ana. Well, I know it says you are supposed to bring proof of insurance to your test. I just realized that my car insurance card expired on June 14th. I am with my dad's insurance company (USAA) and he lives out of state. I called him, and he said that they sent him the new insurance card instead of me by accident, and that coincidentally they are supposed to be arriving at my house tomorrow. The problem is, the mail comes in the afternoon and my appointment is at 8:40am! Will they not let me take the test? That doesn't seem fair because the card expired less than a month ago and I am definitely covered...like if they looked it up in a computer it would verify that I'm insured. Do you think they will still let me take the test or not? Thanks.

We live in the state of Alabama, and I have full coverage insurance on my car. My son, who lives with me, has a learner's permit, but not his license, and only drives on occasion, always with me (his mother) in the car. Do I need to notify my insurance company that he is driving with me under a learner's permit so that he will be listed as a "driver" on my policy (even though he does not have his official license as yet)? Or do I notify my insurance company only once he actually has his drivers license?

I reported to my insurance company. But since she has insurance and it is her fault. I have to deal with her insurance company. They say that they can't get a hold of the lady that I got into an accident with. Then they say if she never reports it then the claim gets thrown away. So then what do I do? I have also filed a motorist report.

I have accidently scrapped a tiny bit of paint of the silver bumper of my neighbour's car - and more definitely damaged the side of my car in a longer scratch on my paint . Last night it was nothing to worry about , but today he is asking £60 for it!! Surely noone would care for such a tiny scratch on the bumper but do I have a choice? I plan to ask my insurance for advice. But what do you think?
