Regular is cheaper. Anything that makes it fun/sporty typically makes the insurance go up.

A convertible car would be more expensive to insure. Because it is more prone to vandalism and someone trying to break in, thus, higher number of claims and higher rates for auto insurance.
Any sort of sports car will cost more to insure than non-sports car.
