They will notify you by mail if your license has been suspended. Of course the address they will use is the address on your license, so if you have moved and not notified them as you are required to do by law in all states, you may not have received your letter. If you are stopped and your license has been suspended, you will get a ticket at least, and perhaps some time as a guest of the county in the gray bar hotel with your vehicle towed. Best go to the nearest dept. of motor vehicles office and ask. Oh, and have a friend drive you there, just in case.

Call the Department of Motor Vehicles, Bureau of Licensing in your state. It's probably listed in the blue pages of your telephone book. Or go to a license, tag and title service agency and ask them to check it for you.

you will get a letter in the mail asking for you to send it to the state. then after your 30 or 60 days..however long for your offense, the state will mail it back.
