Depends on the value of the cars. If there several years old I wouldn't. You need to figure out how much savings in the insurance would equal out to replacing vehicle if wrecked, etc.
Just make sure you keep liability insurance which is required in most states to protect you financially if they cause damage to someone else

Coverage, yes, absolutely. You need to cover the potential damage they may do on others' property.
Then there is the matter of potential hospital bills: should there be an accident and they are injured (forget about the car), is the health insurance going to pick up the bills? probably not. Then, you need a good coverage, more than the minimal one. Talk to your insurer to figure out what is the minimal coverage that you can have in your situation.

yes, first...they are not experience enough and may cause damage. Another option would be to drop full coverage and raise your liability limits. What I mean by that, each state sets the lowest limits allowed by law...in Louisiana, its 10/20/10. If you kids got in a wreck and totaled out an BMW valued at $50,000 your insurance would only cover up to $20,000 and you would be on the hook for the rest. You could be personally sued and lose you home etc.

Depends on the worth of the cars. You wouldn't want to have full coverage on a $200 car, or have a $500 deductible on a $500 car either. Ask your agent.

Yes. Check your state laws but if you are under a tort system, and your kids got into an accident and didn't have full coverage, or even enough coverage, their medical bills could be uncovered and if anyone else was involved, they could sue your kids or you. Talk to your insurance agent about this.

YES, especially with 2 inexperienced drivers. You want to be sure you and both of them will be protected should there be an accident.

Probably, you know your kids, don't fool yourself. Are they responsible, no way would I chance losing my house over their poor judgement.
