Do you have tickets/accidents on your record? Are you in school and getting good grades? What state do you live in? Is your car going to be financed or will you pay for it outright?
Too many factors missing to make a guess.

Sounds like you need to speak with an agent. Most insurance companies require a down payment for a quote and or to start the policy. But because you are a newly licensed driver you will be considered a high risk. An underwriter will consider everything before even approving the policy, your age, how long you've been on your job, rental history, how often the car will be driven and for what usage, what kind of car whether new or old..etc. At lot of things could play a factor in your premium. However if you get turned down you will be refunded your down payment. Best thing to do.. speak with a licensed agent

Call you insurance company and tell them what make and year of car you are buying and they will ask for your drivers license number and run it thru the DMV to look at your driving record to determine if you are a high risk or not. If you are paying cash for the car you will not be required to have full coverage and liability is all you are required to have, but if you have a lein holder on the car, the lein holder will require you to have full coverage, so do the prudent thing and pay cash for a hoopty and just get liability and please drive safe and no matter what DON'T SPEED or DRINK and DRIVE...peace william

You will have to make a down payment. If you pay cash for your car, and carry minimum liability, and have NO loan on your car, you should be able to find insurance for $800 to $1,000 a year. You'll have to call a local agent to get that for you, or 1-800-Progressive.

You'll need to get quotes from several companies to determine what your cost will be. Nobody here can give you any kind of meaningful estimate. Rates depend upon your age, driving experience, where the vehicle is "principally garaged" and the vehicle itself.
You are in the highest risk category since you are under 25 and have extremely limited experience. For this reason, you will be paying the highest base rates for any coverage.

Call around to different insurance companies for quotes. The more calls you make, the better. Then, pick the best one.
