I'm waiting on the delivery of my new car, which is late. Because it's late it's going to be closer to the September 1st "56" registration start date than i'd like (what's the point of driving around an 06 when the 56 is coming out the week after!) Is there any way to get the car on 56 plates from the dealer before september 1st or will I have to wait until september 1st? Can they get the plates and then register it after, I'm not sure how it works to be honest.

On occasion I have seen early regs out on the courtyard, like an 06 in february for example, but I'm not sure if it was allowed on the road. Help me out please.

BTW no countryism (lol) intended but I'd like an answer I could use, so if you're from somewhere other than the UK and you have no idea what I'm talking about, kindly ignore this question.

Apparently when i was in a wreck almost 2 years ago the insurance settlement was not enough for the man I hit. Now he's taking me to court. If they find in his favor and they put a judgement against me what happens?

What is with that advert "Diamond Car Insurance for Women"? Women are meant to be the safest drivers. According to statistics, the only reason people think women are safer drivers is because they make a claim on their boyfriends/husbands car insurance when they have an accident. I am most certainly not a sexist male and I am all for equality but I just think it's unfair to have a car insurance just for women and try to make out like men are terrible drivers. I mean imagine the uproar if there were a car insurance company JUST for men (before the diamond insurance was available) ? What are your views on this people?

She fled the scene. I was rear ended at a red light she had no intention of stopping at. My dogs flew from the back seat to the dashboard, I followed her called 911 and she was arrested. It turns out it was her 3rd arrest for drunk driving, she was conviicted of drunk driving and felonious assault. I was in bed for two months, had to hire someone to take care of the house, because I was in so much pain. I'm trying to get damages from her insurance for $10,000. (roughly what my bills were) They want to settle at $4400.00 and I'm being told I should settle. WTF? I'm not asking for the moon, I think given the circumstances I'm being very reasonable - everyone who saw me during that time frame were licking their chops over how much I was going to get!!! (Like looking for $500,000 or 1,000,000) What do you think is reasonable and should I get another lawyer?

My dad bought the car from my mom but she sold it, signed the title over. They split up and my dad bought thr car back from the guy that it was sold to. The car was still in my moms name. My mom will not sign the car over to me. If she knew I had it she would come and steal it because its in her name. How can I get it changed into my name, without her having to know about it?

I used to live in US, and now I am in Canada. When I was in US I had my insurance for 2.5 years. Then I discontinued the insurance as I was leaving the US. Now I am in Canada and would have a car soon. My insurance was discontinued for more then a year. Would that hurt my insurance record. ?
