To be honest its hit or miss. They are there own carrier and they have flexibility of providing you a policy than the traditional theme of going into an office. You will never be speaking with the same person in regards to your policy when needing service. Just like each and every other carrier, their rates will benefit some and not others. Insurance is something that most shed importance from. You should build a relation with a local agent that you can speak to personally for later purposes. But, they do have a strong financial backing. Many great carriers will have a few bad claims and that word of mouth will effect others. Therefore, it is a toss up so I would decide upon: loyalty, service, rate, and convenience.

On a further each insurance company is backed up by a reinsurance company for financial stability. If that fails, your state has a backup plan. You can see their stability by ambest. Dept fo Insurance recommends a B or Higher. You can review http://www.ambest.com to review.

Esurance has + and - attributes:

+ They're brand new (which means they haven't paid a lot of claims) which makes the premium cheap.
- They're brand new. Which means if a catastrophic storm occurs (hurriance, tornado) they may not have enough to cover their insures. They can go bankrupt and leave you to deal with it alone.
