My mother-in-law's 2004 Echo just had to have the fuel tank replaced due to it rusting through. Even though the car is under a 3 year warranty, the Toyota repairer still made her pay $440 to replace it. She was told it was due to "fuel contamination", she was also told this by someone at Toyota HQ at Sydney when she called them. Isn't that a very specific phrase to use? "Fuel contamination"? Have Toyota been told to say this is the case to avoid dozens of warranty claims for dodgy fuel tanks that should have been recalled in the first place? And why in two and a half years of driving this car with so-called "fuel contamination" has it not gone through to the engine and stopped it working, yet it has done enough damage over time to rust all the way through the tank? If anyone out there has had a similar problem and warranty issues, please respond, I really think Toyota have dropped the ball with this one.

My parents gave me a green light to buy an 2006 Infiniti G35. I found the one that I really like and the sticker price was $26000. I ran carfax and the car seem clean. I spoke to the manager before I even walk into the dealership and he said the best he could do is $23000. The car sound and run great but it already have 17k miles on it. SoI bought it. Am I getting a good deal or a bad deal?

My 2000 Toyota Camry just recently started idling at 2000 rpm when in park, but when its in drive it idles fine. I was told that I can adjust the idling by adjusting the Idle set screw, which I did. However when I went to screw the nut back on the screw broke. Where can I find a replacement and how can I remove the rest of the screw thats left?

Can I find a replacement screw at Auto Zone, O Reilly's???'

I had a front-end collision while driving the following vehicle:

2006 Ford Mustang GT Premium Edition w/12000 miles.

My car struck a vehicle on its side with my front end at an approximate speed of 35-40 mph.

Upon impact, the driver's side airbag deployed as designed. The passenger's seat was empty and the airbag on that side did not deploy.

I did NOT have the airbag turned off with they key.

If there is any Ford Tech out there who can tell me WHY the passenger airbag did not deploy in that vehicle, or should I be talking to a guy in a suit with degrees hanging from the wall?

Its not the fuel pump or filter. is there away to check or troubleshoot the electronics before I go through all the work of pulling the injectors? (Without paying for diagnostics at shop) It does not have
electronic ignition coil. It has a distributer and it is getting spark. also has good pressure in fuel line. feed and return.Could it be a chip or a censor ?

Does anybody know somebody that has these tire sizes mounted on their 99 civic ex sedan. They recommned 205/45/16, but with the 50 you get more sidewall. Will 205/50/16 hit the fenders, rub or things like that?
Stock size is 185/65/14

Two years ago i had an '87 Chevy Caprice with a 4.3 liter v6. It had NO options except a cd player which i installed myself. The car got 18 mpg...which is what i really miss. My new truck gets 12. Not to mention, the caprice seemed bulletproof, except for the tranny, which is why i sold it. Can anybody console me?

What was your favorite era of the Toyota Camry's? Mine is the 1997-01 Toyota Camry's, they had the right styling and they weren't overly rounded or boxy and they seem to be more reliable than the 2002-current Camry's, plus the 1997-01 Camry's weren't overly big either.

4 wheel drive not working proper. its automatic, the drive shaft will ingage and move but the 4 wheel wont actually work. it acts like the hubs are not ingageing. 98 dodge 4 wheel drive automatic, 1500. what do i check and where do i check it at? any help would be great. it stoped working in the middle of the driveway. it will shift into 4 wheel drive but again the hubs act like there not ingaging and the light on the dash is not coming on either. thanks to whom may help.

My check engine light is on. I asked another question about why the light might be on (which, PLEASE answer that one if you have any ideas- I need your help really bad) and one of the answers was to take it to the dealer and have them plug something into the van's computer and it would say why the light is on. I was hoping someone knew if they would charge me for this. Thank you!

my check engine light recently came on and i ran a computer scan and got the following trouble code: PO118 - Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High input.
