My parents gave me a green light to buy an 2006 Infiniti G35. I found the one that I really like and the sticker price was $26000. I ran carfax and the car seem clean. I spoke to the manager before I even walk into the dealership and he said the best he could do is $23000. The car sound and run great but it already have 17k miles on it. SoI bought it. Am I getting a good deal or a bad deal?

The car was certified and still have 3 years warranty on it. They tried to sell me an extended warranty (3 more years) for $3000.

i wouldnt buy one, but if you like them, thats a fairly good price. id much rather buy an STi (which i did) or EVO.
i would buy one from a private seller though. on a 17k mile car, youre still under warrenty, which is transferrable, and a private seller will usually sell one for less.
at least youre being smart, and buying one thats slightly used, which knocks a huge part of the price off the car, and the car is still essentially new.

I have been selling Infiniti's for 3 years now and I can't say enough about them. Motor trend car of the year in 03. Consumer reports best pick in class. Edmunds.com best overall car in class. The price you got was a very good one. One way to check this is go the Autotrader.com and verify the sale price of similiar models. Next go to edmunds.com and KBB.com and typr in the car, milege, packages, color and zip code and they will show you a pretty good idea on what the price should be.. 17k miles on a g35 is nothing especially considering that car was probably first titled 1 1/2 years ago. (check the carfax) Not to mention that infiniti is first right now for the least amount of problems per 100 vehicles titled. Be happy with your deal. Right now on our lot I have 2- 2006 G35 with the premium package and 15k and 28k miles. Thes are both around 28K$ but thats with the premium. I would guess at that price your's is not. But yes you got a deal I would have taken if all things checked out. Congrats

You got a pretty good deal. Now you made a good purchase because you could have bought an Evo or STi but those cars are just like all the annoying civics. Everyone has one. Buying the G35 is a good way to distinguish yourself from the rest. Im not saying that Evos and Sti's suck, all im saying is that a lot of people own these. I personally own a Mitsubishi 3000GT and I wouldnt mind having an Evo or Sti but for the same amount of money I could get a Volkswagen R32 or a Lexus IS300. When buying a car, buy a car that you like and that not that many people own and that will hold its value. I eventually want to get an RX-7 which is even rarer then a 3000GT.

Check Kelley Blue Book or Edmunds.com to verify the price.
The G35 is a good car with a great sounding exhaust.

That's WAY too high. Just sold 2002 I35 for $6000. Infinity's bring no where near book value. That's at least $5000 to high.

check edmunds.com they really give you a good estimate and will have a part at the end of the estimate that will give you a price for cars that are still certified
