Not immediately.
Generally when a battery light comes on, it is an indication that there is a problem in the vehicle's charging system. I would first have the alternator or generator checked, then move on to other components. The Jeep should be under warranty, so none of this should cost you anything.
Since this is intermittent, it is most likely a loose wire or connection.

Everyone is right about it being under warranty and let the dealer handle it. But the one guy has a good point about the dealer saying they'll change the battery and really doing it.I would put a mark on the battery with a permanent marker, say a dot on the warranty sticker,to see if they do because if they do and it comes back on then it must be a fault in the charging system or wiring.Been burnt before!

Problem is not the battery, the light refers to the charging system.
Could be a bad connection or the brushes in the alternator were sticking, 2007 should be under warranty so let the dealer worry about it, but don't be surprised if they don't change the battery.

There is a problem with the charging system. Have dealer check this out. Don't condemn the battery just because the 'battery' light comes on. That is just a symbol used worldwide.
It's under warranty, so don't take NO for an answer.

Batteries should last a lot longer than that. My vehicle is at 60,000 miles and has the same battery. You need to make the company find out what the real problem is and pay for it. If it is not the battery it may something wrong in the wiring or with a sensor.

you need to check the alternator, it should be charging at or about 14.5 volts. but since its a 2007 it all under warranty so they'll check it out anyways.
