i have had an idle problem for about a month now
after a long trip i came to a stop sign and my car idle'd real low, then i continued on the road and the car seemed normal.

later i was driving around town and the same thing happened, so i turned off the acand like a miricle the car idled correctly again

i had been driving like this since then, but now it started again even with the ac off.

when i try to accelerate from stop sign it accelerates really really slow then suddenly it regains power.

i noticed a wire going to the battery was kinda of hot, so i disconected it and the car ran well again, but this turned out to be cable from the alternator, so the battery died.

sometimes when i press the gas all the way down when trying to move after a stop sign i hear poping sounds.

i thought it might all be a fuel problem, but the why did it run fine when i disconected one of the battery wires???

any help would be appreciated!!!
could it be the iac, wat r iac symtoms ?

My 1997 Nissan Sentra was working well. But couple months ago it just happenned that when I stopped at the traffic light or got stuck in the traffic, it would suddenly started trembling like gasping for air, and sometimes it would pass, sometimes it just totally stopped... I can always restart my car, but this really bothers me what if one day i can't restart it and i stucked on the freeway traffic... I really love to have this issue of my car resolved... Anyone can give me advice?? At least when I go to the repair shop, I would have some ideas about it... Thanks!

I have an '86 el camino w/ an '87 350 in it. right now it has a four barrell holley carb, edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, stock exhaust manifolds, no cat. converter, and an open air cleaner. what other ways can i make this engine have more power, without spending too much money?

i am looking at a 74 nova ss auto that is an automatic on the floor but still has the shifter select on the dash. where all dashboards the same or is there a difference?I dont see where the column is missing a shifter but the column may have been changed.

Hello, I own a 1998 Ford Crown Victoria. I am interested in purchasing Tis model 01 wheel size 20x8 and bolt cirlce 5x4.5. I know all offsets will fit my car but which offset would best fit my car. I don't want the wheels to stick out past the fenders and I don't want the wheels to be sunken into the fenders too much. I want the wheels to fit like stock. My question is what offset do I need because several offsets are listed 18, 30 and finally 38? Thanks, George.

I already have 120,000 miles on my 2001 cavalier and am trying to find the fastest & inexpensive engine to buy for my cavalier once it brakes down on me. I would just sell it off but have already put too much money into the looks of it and don't want to lose out. I have heard the ecotech engines are good but don't have pricing. Also, going to add a turbo charger or supercharger which ever is better for the new engine.

my steering column flops all over. it is a 1984 w/tilt. it's so scary i can't drive the car. the horn goes off when it wants and the shift points are not aligning. anyone know how to fix it? i'm totally capable of the job if i can get some real pointers.

Hello yeah I am in the middle of replacing this Coolant By-Pass Tubing, and I am ready to remove it when I find the Pipe Hanger is connected by a Little Fake Nut thing, what is this Fake Nut Thing? How do I remove it, this little Fake Nut Thing is also hanging up a sensor, so breaking it is out.
