I believe that the newer Camaro's are heavier than the old model Camaro's, the 1967-69 Camaro's weigh somewhere around 2900-3300 lbs and the 1970-73 Camaro's are slightly heavier, the 1978-81 Camaro's weigh about 3400-3700 lbs.

How old? when the 82 models came out they were quite a bit lighter than the previous ones when the last ones came out in 93 they were mostly the same car with different sheet metal and therefore weigh about the same

yes they were a lot heavier than the newer ones are,,i have had a few of both,,and there's a lot of difference in weight,,especially if you consider the smaller engines they use now,,and also the older ones were built a little better than the newer ones are,,basically the older ones had more metal in them,,good luck,,i hope this help,s.

the camros are all ways heavier i know about it from the 60s or i think the 70s till the 90s allways heavier but in the 00s ........ i realy dont know

Yes. The reason for this is technology, and money! Technology has figured out just how much metal it takes to keep it from collapsing,--thinner metal, (and lighter engine blocks) have less pounds, - equalling less espense to manufacture

Yes by about 1500 lbs. More power back then weighed more

No. Sixties vehicles were MUCH lighter than todays safety, emissions and electronic/comfort laden cars.
