I work at the plant where all the available engines for it are built, and I can tell you that the engines are the best 4 cylinder engines you can buy in the world. I can't even begin to tell you all the top notch manufacturing techniques being used. Even better than Toyota. Toyota has toured our plant on several occasions because they know we have them beat. It is call the world engine, and it is a collaberated design between Chrysler, Hyundai, and Mitsubishi. I would get the SXT, with the 2.0L and the CVT trans. Unless you live in a snowy area, where the all wheel drive R/T will be the better option. But for pure performance in dry conditions, the R/T isn't much better than the SXT. It will get better mileage than the EPA #'s show. The Caliber itself is a nice car with a lot of Mercedes engineering input. It is a winner.

I don't have one but have sold several. They are awesome cars. They look small but the interior is all there. They have several fun options such as a chill zone, electric outlet, glow in the dark cup holders, a flashlight that charges in the car. The best part is that the gas mileage is around 27 to 30 depending on what engine size you get.

I do not own one but I have driven several.
They are nice car with lots of interior room for the size.
The variable speed transmission takes a little getting used to, but the options such as the premium stereo system and glovebox that keeps my bottled water cold are very awesome.
They get great gas mileage,
although, good luck trying to find one.... we sell them as fast as they come in.
