Wow such uproar over thing most people don't consider....All Dodge trucks are Mexican! Look at the window stickers when you buy a new car folks it says all you need to know! Most "American" cars aren't even 80% US part content and almost all are assembled outside of the US. So when you get down to it who's salary are you really paying? Not an American citizen but a Mexican! And not a real living for them even at that. The only people making money are stockholders and management. Keep ahold of your knickers because as soon as the big 2 and the big German 1 can get it done they will assemble all cars and trucks in China!

You wanna know why? because of durability. American cars are good with 6 and 8 cylinder vehicles, but a 4 cylinder? come-on! We suck!!! just look at the freekin' festivas, the Geo's, they SUCK! no-one buys those cars for how good they are, they buy them cuz there CHEAP! Now a little civic, CRX, etc.. there 4 Cyl. yet there durable, good looking, and could go up to 300, 000 miles on a motor right? Why do you think Pimp My Ride gets good ratings? Cuz all they get are Tempo's, and freakin'Escorts, why cuz they Suck!! And its not that we think America is gippin' us with the cars, its just that we prefer Foreign cars, more expensive but worth every penny, like they say better to pay more for a good thing, than be cheap and then it later becomes more expensive cuz being cheap becomes expensive after it breaks down. I'll take any domestic car anytime with my "Foreign CAR"! Wanna know more about my ride? then get back to me...

I work at a dealership in the US,

We have two product lines. One foreign one domestic.

I bought a car from my dealership that had been made in canada, it left me stranded once with only 10K miles on it.

I traded that car for one that was manufacturered in the united states, it has been running without incident for 13K miles. It's 4 cyl engine has more power than my last car which had a v-6.

The one built in Canada was a DOMESTIC car
and the one I drive now that was built in the US is FOREIGN.

I don't feel like I am "screwing my country" I earn my money working for a dealership owned by americans, who employ US workers and sell cars in US dollars.

..and I get a reliable car I love to drive that was built in the US.

well let me ask you something...........how about the people that recieved the car at the docks, or the people that loaded it on the semi that brought it to the dealership, or the guy that washed that car in the lot for several weeks in the car lot, or the receptionist who answered the phone, or the janitor who cleans the restrooms at the dealership, or the guy who fills the soda machine at the snack-room, or the 30-something sales-rep who's trying to sell the car, or perhaps his family of 4 waiting at home for daddy to show up with something to eat, how about all those AMERICANS that are damn happy to even have a job, i'm sure they don't care about foriegn cars coming to america. as long as they have work, they are happy.. so please stop being so ANGRY! p.s. thank you for your input.... oh and sorry if i seem a little bit out of sorts. i could be one of those americans

Cause the Japanese cars have better reliability than the American made cars, I prefer the old American cars anyday myself.
