i have had an idle problem for about a month now
after a long trip i came to a stop sign and my car idle'd real low, then i continued on the road and the car seemed normal.

later i was driving around town and the same thing happened, so i turned off the acand like a miricle the car idled correctly again

i had been driving like this since then, but now it started again even with the ac off.

when i try to accelerate from stop sign it accelerates really really slow then suddenly it regains power.

i noticed a wire going to the battery was kinda of hot, so i disconected it and the car ran well again, but this turned out to be cable from the alternator, so the battery died.

sometimes when i press the gas all the way down when trying to move after a stop sign i hear poping sounds.

i thought it might all be a fuel problem, but the why did it run fine when i disconected one of the battery wires???

any help would be appreciated!!!
could it be the iac, wat r iac symtoms ?

Sounds like it backfires through the intake. I want you to check all the fluids.

Coolant? then does thermostat open.
Check the air filter, then check if exhaust is restricted.

Check and clean your mass air flow sensor.
Might get some of the gunk out of throttle body as well.

Sure wish I knew how well this things been maintained.

If you want to clean the IAC, use Berryman Chemtool carb and choke cleaner. Remove iac and spray it up in there real good and let it soak for a while then spray all the gunk out.

But usually with an IAC problem you will either have a high idle or the car wont stay running without throttle.

my money is on cooling system or maf.

Hey there ya go try to drive it with MAF disconnected (elecrically) if cooling system checks out.

it could be the iac, your o2 sensors, your map sensor, and /or your mass air flow sensor. have all checked
