some special tools will be required to pull the tilt pivot pins and to install them also a lock ring depressor should be obtained also
you will need a set of female torx sockets to tighten the actual bolts that have loosened up but the very first thing you need is a good shop manual the Haynes group has been helpful in this respect.
this job can be done in the truck but if a workbench with a stout vise inside a well lit shop is available use it.
i recommend removal of the column unless you have done these before take it apart as per manual but upon reassembly hold the ignition switch rod and the dimmer switch rod in place with electrical tape as you assemble also have some stiff wheel bearing grease available to hold switch linkage together while they are being assembled [a little on the column bearings is a good idea too] READ AND REREAD THE STEPS IN THE MANUAL before you start and your outcome will be promising. these were a pain when new, dust grime and wear will not make it any easier for you good luck and have lots of patience.

that was a standard issue problem on those. The column is basicly a GM product and there are four little screws at the very inner most part of the column that losen up. Unless you are good with tools and "small parts" pay to have it done or buy a complete used column at a junk yard, but you might have the same problem with the used one. It's a suck job and not for a novice.

take it to a qualified mechanic immediately and do not drive the jeep until you have it repaired. The job is too complicated for a do-it-yourselfer. I KNOW i TRIED IT ONE TIME YEARS AGO. The tilt streering joint is out of wack and has to replaced by a mechanic that knows what he is doing. WILL THAT HELP YOU? otherwise, I would not drive the vehicle or you might have an accident and kill somebody...
