This might sound, well... stupid... But, there are several cars that I have my eye on, but they are not sold in America... Like the fords and Chevrolets that are only sold in different countries, and also like, Nissans, Toyotas... you get the picture. As I said, there are a few that I have my eye on, but they're not sold in America... My question is, can I import any car that I would want to buy? Set price aside, it's irrelevant... I'm just wondering if this is possible, and how would I go about doing this?

Thanks a lot!!

Oh, and, not to sound rude, but please don't answer with comments such as "Buy American," because I don't care if it's American or not, I care about my personal comfort.

Thanks again!

My boyfriend bought a truck for 15,309.90$ before finance charges. He just found out that they gave him a 17.95% interest rate and somehow came out to over 26,000 dollars. I was wondering how the heck it came out to be almost twice the amount of the truck. If this is right, could you please show me the math?

I put $500 down to hold a car at a dealership. However, I decided not to buy the car anymore and the dealership refunded my money back, which they put it back on my card. However, when I looked at my statements online, I dont see that money being refunded at all. It has been 3 days, what is going on here? Did it not get refunded or what? (Note: I do have the recepits.)

I am thinking about buyin a 49 Honda Accord EX (4dr) (114000mi)

however the left CV joint is going bad and it needs to be replaced, as well as the windshield has been cracked, and a few little details about the interior im not too worried about.

When I blue booked it (KBB.com) it said that the car should sell for $2750.......i was wondering how much less than that I could probably get away with

First car: 2002 Dodge Intrepid SE. Has about 52k miles and costs about $7,500.

Second car: 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GT (MAY be SE, forgot to look but has power everything, CD player, fog lamps, so I'm thinking it's the GT) Has about 75k miles and costs about $6,500.

About 500 miles a week, yes, a week, is put on the car.

Both cars are in great shape with the Intrepid having some minor cosmetic flaws and the Pontiac being extremely clean and no cosmetic flaws from what I saw. I am leaning more towards the Grand Prix because it seems even though it has more miles it is made better, has a better engine and gets more gas millage, but the Intrepid is newer. I keep going back and forth, so I want the worlds opinion.

Thanks.

I have roughly 3-4k in negative equity in my current automobile. I was wondering if anyone has taken a car they've owned, rolled the negative equity into a LEASE payment on a new car, and how it worked for them. I've heard this is by far the best way to get rid of negative equity in an vehicle, short of paying for it out of pocket, obviously. Thanks for any info or additional ideas!!!!

I think it's an 83, not sure though. It's a Mercedes-Benz. It's a 300 LE? It's a Diesel. The repairs needed would be a new muffler and replace the front windshield. The windshield isn't a top priority, and I'm iffy about the muffler. It has over 230,000 miles on it. The gentleman is selling it to me for $600. Is it worth it?

I have a 2003 Chevy, Monte Carlo LS. It has about 73K miles on it and about $7,500 left to pay it off in full. If I wanted to sell it, would I just sell it for the difference in what I've already paid on it? Details: I have it tint out, CD/radio combo set, and new wheels and rims on it....it's a gold color.

Also, would it be a better deal, selling it to a person or dealership? And could I trade it?

I know---LOADED question..lol.

Thank you for answering me though...

I traded in a car and bought a new nissan on 5/29. Six weeks later the dealer contacts me and tells me that the car had a salvage title. I didn't know it. Apparantely it shows it right on front of the title. I signed the back of it where it says To the best of my knowlede the car has never been seriously damaged. I bought it used 2 1/2 years ago. The dealer wants me to give him 1,000 back because he says he will lose a lot of money on the car. He says it is a serious offense. It seems to me he is in the business of trading in cars. Shouldn't he have noticed the work Salvage on the car or run a check on it? What are my options. Someone please help.

Recently, I have fallen in love with the Mustang Fastbacks (mostly Mach1) from around 1968-'72, but I don't have $20,000 for one in good condition. I have about 4 years to work with. What do I do?

I am in the market for a car, and with a lot of the makes and models I have been looking at, people seem to have a higher opinion of older models compared to new ones. IE, older generation tacomas, 96-99 subaru legacy's, etc. Is it because the materials they are built of higher quality generally? Are the materials new cars built with these days for the most part cheaper? Is it just because people have more experience with the older vehicles? What older models do YOU believe are better built than their newer version? What cars do you believe have vastly improved over the years?

I have a 2005 Honda Pilot. I have a lease. It ends in 5 months.
I just hit the milage allowed for the lease. The dealer wont give me anything for it...The lease says that I have to pay 20K if I decide to buy it. The Blue Book value on the car is 25K. I put it on autotrader to sell it for $25K. I have gotten 2 calls from websites that "promise" to sell my car in 2 weeks (90 days-money back guarantee) for $169.00. Has anyone ever used a site like this? Is it a scam? I haven't gotten any calls on the auto trader ad---also yahoo cars---and it cost me $25.00

I'm assuming if you trade in for a more expensive car the dealership would have no problem with that.
What generally are the penalties/fees for breaking a lease?
Thanks for the help.
