i have my license and right now am trying to buy a car. ive got $1500 and make $200 a month with my part time job. i could ask for more hours but i have a transportation issue and cant get there on certain times and days..which is why i need a car. So i was wondering what are some things i could do to make a little extra money every month? It has to be something that doesnt need much transportation. And please dont give me those survey links ive tried them and dont like it. Thanks!

I'm aware of the expenses that come with a car.Once i know that im in a situation where i can get a car to get to work daily,then i will request more hours (which i can get) and therefor make more money for a car. I'll also have the help of my parents so i will be able to get a co signer. thanks for all the suggestions.

Work your way up to a nice car. For now just find a solid cheap runner. There are many you can get in the $500-$700 range that will last you years. Not to mention the cost of insurance and gas bills that comes with a car purchase. So take the extra hours at work, and then set your aim for that sports car.

There are a number of expenses that come with car ownership other than the purchase price. There is gas, maintenance and insurance to be considered. If you get another job and buy a car you will find that you will need even more money to keep it going. At this point it might be just a well to forget about the car until you are finished school and get a good paying job. Meanwhile keep saving some money for the day you are ready and able to have a vehicle.
I know this is not much fun but it is a practical suggestion.

Ask neighbors, family and friends what odd jobs you could do. Cleaning garages, washing cars, cutting lawns painting, etc. Collect aluminum brass and copper, have a yard sale for things you no longer use or want, If you are good in some subjects consider tutoring those that need some help. Granted little things but they do add up.

Check around your neighborhood (depending on where you live, and your comfort level) to see if there are any odd jobs you can do.
Babysitting, lawn care, car washes, etc. can always be good ways for a teen to make money.
You could also try offering to help older people with daily tasks, or see if they need help reading the newspaper and such.

My suggestion is trying to find a used car that is a bit cheaper. It will help you develop your credit because at this point without a cosigner loans are out of the question.
Babysitting always works though for a few extra dollars.
