You can't lease a used car. Leases are only available on new cars.

Unless you are operating a business and can deduct the expense as a tax write-off, it is NEVER a good idea to lease a vehicle.

You pay the lease payments, you pay for the upkeep, and if you put more miles on the vehicle than the lease allows, you must pay a mileage fee at the end of the lease. And after you are out all that money, you have nothing to show for it.

Buy , don't lease! Take my word for it, it is not a saving of money. I've gotten taken by the lease crap once, NEVER MORE!

Depends on how your monthly payments are. If they are the same, might as well lease a new vehicle. Just remember to read your leasing contract because everything will depend on that.

Leasing a vehicle is NOT a bad thing. If you plan on changing vehicles often, or are only require a vehicle for a certain amount of time .. it is something to think about. monthly payments on a leased vehicle will be cheaper than a financed one.

Depends on each situation.

Some lease for the low payment, option to buy.
Some lease because they do not need to own and like the maintenance packages...and just get another one when the lease is up.
All have to pay the initial fee/down payment.

What does your lifestyle require, what can you afford?
Do you need New and reliable, or can you live with used and reliable and then fix it up when you can? When it's paid for it is an asset that can be liquidated.
