I put $500 down to hold a car at a dealership. However, I decided not to buy the car anymore and the dealership refunded my money back, which they put it back on my card. However, when I looked at my statements online, I dont see that money being refunded at all. It has been 3 days, what is going on here? Did it not get refunded or what? (Note: I do have the recepits.)

Sometimes the refunds can take awhile. You might want to just give your bank a call to see if it is pending but not showing on the statements. If it's not showing up at the bank at all then call the dealership and be polite but ask if it by chance got overlooked. Don't accuse them of ripping you off it will only aggravate them. Just ask as though they may have gotten busy and it just didn't get put through. I'm sure it's probably in process but it never hurts to check. Plus $500 is a huge dent for most people (for me anyway!).

Call the dealership and ask if they just did an authorization on your card. Authorizations don't actually take the money it just puts a hold on it for a few days. Even though it's there, you may not see the funds in your account for up to 10 days. Good luck.

You need to call your bank and/or the credit card company and check with them if they have the credit of $500.00 noted in your account. Also call the dealership and make sure they handled it. I don't trust most car dealers, so I would keep on top of it. That's good that you have the receipts to back your story. Good luck!

If it has been three days, you should expect the money to be there. Contact your bank. If you have the receipt for refund, you know it's not the dealers fault.

Go to the dealer and ask to look at their transfer note and ask them to make photo copy it. bring the copy to your Bank.
If they dont want to show the transfer note they may not have tranferred that.

you need to call the lot and make sure they punched it in right, and also call the bank, sometimes their late on getting their accounts updated,if you have a receipt you have nothing to worry about, its probably just an honest mistake, good luck with it.

I would contact your company and let them know what was going on. They can tell you exactly where your money is.
