Those are 2 views of the same speedo. On most models it is in the middle of the dashboard but it's nearly the size of a dinner plate so that's not much of an issue. The Mini Cooper is a blast to drive though the ride is a bit on the harsh side. My nephew has a well tricked out Cooper S and it's a ball. An old fart like me would probably want to keep his old hard-tail kidney belt handy though... ;)

Sentras are OK for an econo-box. Nothing exciting but pretty reliable and reasonably priced.

The Cobalt, like its predecessor the Cavalier, is a bottom-end piece of junk. Very poorly rated by CR.

It's a personal decision, but I think I would go with the Cobalt. Chevrolet's cars can take a real beating and keep going. The Mini just isn't a very practical car, size wise. The Nissan products tend to be very "plastic-y", and upkeep can be rather expensive. But, as I said, it's a personal decision. If you want to make a more informed decision, here are some things you need to compare on each of them.

Safety (crash test results)
Maintenance (how much are things like brake rotors, filters, etc.)
Service availability (location)
Warranty
Gas Mileage
Insurance rates

These are just a few of the things most people don't consider when buying a car. They usually just look at the price and the financing options. Period maintenance fees can add up. Who wants a car that has a reasonable payment of $300 if the cost of the rotors is $200 each? I'd also Google each car to see if there are any owners out there that have complaints. You can learn many things from message boards. Good luck with your decision.
