Can someone explain to me how leasing works?

I have always been told that when you lease a vehicle that the only vehicle you can lease is a vehicle that is very basic with hardly any options...is that true?

What kinda credit do you have to have to lease?

i dont know why people think that foreign cars are better than american. domestic cars are so much better than foreign cars and have better reliability, and look much better. but its hard for americans to see this when biased sources like consumer reports say jap cars are gods. does anybody else agree???

I am looking to buy my first car, and I have narrowed it down to two.

So, which is better:

A 1996 Eclipse GS for $1,000
or a 1987 Dodge Shadow for $695?

I am looking for something that is good on gas, that performs good, and that is at least a little cute.

Thanks, and if you could give me info on the two cars that would be great too!

♥ xoxo

I'm selling my 2002 VW Jetta 1.8T w/ exhaust and cold air intake, and it's eating away at me. I need to for financial reasons in starting a family, but I can only afford up to a $3000 car. This might be a matter of opinion, but I would like something that throws you back in your seat with acceleration, and a decent track record.
I've considered a Saab 900, Subaru, older Mustang, but need suggestions.

I owe about 22,000 on a 2006 chevrolet cobalt and the payments are $469 a month (stupid me). I am thinking about doing a voluntary reposession. Has anyone ever done this and was the outcome, extremely terrible? My credit isnt that great, so im not all considered about that, but I am considered about how much I will still owe after the car is sold at auction. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I make aprox. $1,500 a month with $200/ month rent. I support myself with my own food and pay my own auto insurance, as well as other bills (Roughly another $250/ month for food and $150 in other expenses, currently) This leaves me with roughly $900 a month to wiggle with.

After saving enough for the down payment, do you think I make enough money to pay off the high insurance rate and high interest loan I will be getting? (I want to try and pay my loan off in three years. Is this smart, or should I go for a longer term loan?)

Right know we own a LR3 and a Mercedes S600 sedan. I thought the Land Rover was a bad purchase for young kids, and now after we bought the car so does my husband. What kind of SUV do you suggest or should we just keep teh LR3.

They claimed that the amount that I paid is not included with tax. But it was the amount that they had asked me to write the check for them 6 days earlier. I signed all the proper paper works. Sale Contract stated clearly that we (dealer and I ) agreed to the amount I paid. Do I have to go back and sign a new contract as they asked? and pay more money. Or I can ignore all this since it was their mistake?

It has a 351 Winsor, but needs paint and some interior work. It has hardly any rust, but does have a couple of little holes in the floor of the cab. It's dirty, but has new tires and an excellent body. I was thinking of somewhere between $1500 and $2000?
