They claimed that the amount that I paid is not included with tax. But it was the amount that they had asked me to write the check for them 6 days earlier. I signed all the proper paper works. Sale Contract stated clearly that we (dealer and I ) agreed to the amount I paid. Do I have to go back and sign a new contract as they asked? and pay more money. Or I can ignore all this since it was their mistake?

Forget about it. If you have a receipt for the car, then it is yours. Call the Better Business Bureau in your area.

Do not sign a new contract. For some people, I will allow them to take the car for the price and owe the tax within 30 days - but I put that in writing on the signed contract. This guy didn't and probably told you what you needed to pay "out the door" which means includes tax. My guess is that the salesman sold it for less than what he was supposed to get out of it and now his boss is pissed. Everything is legit. Enjoy your new used car.

This is interesting. If you've got a signed contract, I don't know that they can come back and ask for more. Would they let you go back in and ask for some of your money back because you made a mistake and didn't mean to pay that much? No. You might want to talk to an attorney, they usually offer a free consultation. This could be a form of bait and switch. Be careful.

As a car salesman this situation despises me! Its what gives us honest hard working people a bad rap. It sounds to me like they screwed something up and don't want to take the loss so they are trying to intimidate you into paying more. Don't do it if you have all the paperwork and a receipt you should be good to go. You don't need a lawyer. I would be very forceful the next time they call and tell them to have their lawyer contact you.

You can speak to there General Manager.
If it was there fault then they have to pick up the loss not you!
On your buyers order it should say the ammount that you both agreed upon.
Hopefully you have already gotten your registration, otherwise they may hold that until you go in to sign new contracts.
Make sure if u do decide to go and sign the new paperwork. If u paid cash there shouldn't be a contract to be signed!!!!

You wrote check out for what they said to write it for and all papers are signed so the deal is done.....ignore them and notify a lawyer in case these slimbags decide to report it stolen.
IF THEY CALL AGAIN.....RECORD THE CONVERSATION.
look in the phone book for lawyers

You need to make it clear to them that you will not go back to pay more. You have no obligation if the paper work is signed and you have all the receipts. It is definitely their fault and I can't believe they're trying to get you to pay more after the deal is done. That is terrible business practice.

It's a common scam for car salesman. They have the car sold and now want more commission. Ignore them or report it to BBB. Do not sign another contract.

Was a title applied for with the state??????

I would think so.....

If that is the fact, the car is now yours!!!!!!!!!! At the price you paid.

If not, Take it Back and give them the keys, unless you are willing to pay the extra they want for the car.

Good Luck,

Dave
