My Experian is 634, Equifax 627, and Trans is 620. I have a few late payments that are on my credit report, most recent late payment was in Jan 07. Prior to this the latest late paymt was on Aug 06. I have a secured credit card $200 limit which I use every month and always pay it off at the end of month. A Macys card with a $300 limit with zero balance which I also use often and pay it off at the end of the month. I have two installment loans one for $241 a month which I still owe $4000 on, and one for $93 monthly for $2000 which I still owe $1700 (just opened it). I also have a student loan which I owe about $3000 and pay $50 every month. I do not have any accts in collections at the moment. I always keep no more than 25% bal on my accts. My history is about 3 yrs old. Im thinking about financing a used car for 30k and would like to know based upon my credit details/score how high would my interest rate be? I don't want to get a high rate. Professl in the field or Persnl Exp Pls Help.

Yah, so I bought a car for the price of 19,200, but after tax and all these other fees, the car I wanted to purchase came out to be a little over 22,900 dollars, here in MN... Does this seem correct? Tax and licensing and everything should not be over 3000, should it? I am wondering what other fees the dealership may have charged me for? It's a brand new car, by the way.

I wanted to buy a car, and I needed to go to my bank and get a loan approval. So, the dealer said for me to put 400 dollars down to hold my car, and so I did. Now that I think about it, I dont want the car anymore. Can I still get my 400 dollars back if I no longer wanted to purchase the car anymore? I live in Minnesota, by the way... Thanks.

I've got 10,000 set aside for a car right now. My question was whether I should get a second hand car for 10000 and pay straight up or should I put it as a down payment for a new car and take a loan on the rest. Also should I get financing for the loan from the dealer or get it off my home equity. I was interested in buying a sedan. Please help me, detailed responses highly appreciated.

Do you think a car salesman makes money enough to support his family? I know someone who rents a home and drives a mercedes van and works in a car dealership.

I am planning to buy a new Toyotta Corolla. I was searching for prices online - it is about $17,000 without taxes. Does anybody know how much would a tax be (for Louisiana)? This is my first car in the US.

My Chevy Aveo was defective and after a lawsuit, turned out to be a lemon. It had multiple suspension and steering issues. It's my first new car and I'm sad to see it go, but it's for the better.

My best friend said that the maufacturer is going to destroy the car, as they can't sell it. But I've heard of lemons being bought as used cars.

I'd be sad to know that my car will no longer exist, but it brought up a good point; what happens to the cars labeled as lemons?

Right now, the only car I really like is the Ford Mustang 2005 & newer.

However, everyone is trying to talk me out of it because they are RWD cars and aren't supposed to handle well in the snow. For me, I'm pretty sure the insurance will be very high. (Which is a bigger concern to me.)

I am willing to spend up to about $17,000 dollars for a used car; however if I keep not seeing anything that I like (I really hate the way all the cars look right now, and since I can't go out and test drive every car and see how it feels I'm at a loss).

I really don't want to spend 17,000 on a car that I don't like, so I might just buy a $2,000 point A to point B car, if I can't find a car that can impress me the way the Mustang has.

Aside from just the Mustangs asthetic value, I also like the fact that it has a very good crash test/safety rating.

So, is there something out there for me?

Thanks for any help.

I am looking into a new car and am wondering
When a dealer sells a car to a person with a GM discount, does that lower the Dealers factory invoice for the car? Or does the Factory invoice stay the same and the dealer just make less money off the car? I am wondering becaues I want to know how much leway I have in negotiating with the car sales man.
