I think all of those will give you reliable service for the first 30k miles.

What are your other criteria. The Focus is cheap and gets pretty good mpg. The Fusion is a nice car. I own one. It's very roomy and fun to drive, but more expensive then the Focus.

Don't know much about Rabbits.

The Rabbit will be very expensive to maintain.

The Focus and Fusion are both good choices. Both have 3 year/36k bumper to bumper warranty. Both have 5 year/60k Roadsiode Assistance. However, the Foucs has a longer Powertrain Warranty (mileage wise). Fusion has 5 year/60k, which Focus has 5 year/100,000 on Powertrain (engine, transmission, and related components).

If you get the 4 cylinder Fusion, gas mileage is almost identical (about 1 mpg different)

The Focus is extremely zippy on the Interstate, gets great gas mileage, and has a very high customer satisfaction rating (I sell them and I also own one). This is a great car if there will not be any tall adults in the back seat.

The Fusion is also a nice car. The Fusion has more standard equipment and will have more room. I am 6'3" and I can drive either car, but I can fit in the rear seat on the Fusion without having to move the seat (which on the Focus, I must move the seat forward to fit in the rear).

Depeding on whether you want a lower price/payment (Focus), or more room (Fusion), I would go with one of the Ford products.
