My roommate and I were in the market to buy a used car from a private seller, and found one online: a Bronco, which was advertised as "in great shape" and "runs well". Once we purchased the car, we found out what a terrible mistake we made--the car is undriveable, completely rusted out, and has several major problems that make it really only desirable for a junkyard.
The private seller and I signed a written agreement that the title would be handed over upon full payment. We have paid over 3/4 of the price, but now neither want nor need the title or the vehicle.
We are in Colorado. I need to know, is there any way I can force him to take the car back and return the money we have already paid to him? The car is such a piece of **** (as is the seller, by the way), and his advertisement of it was completely false. Please help.
