Ok, so I've been looking to buy my first car. I can't spend a whole lot, so I found a 1997 Honda Civic on autotrader. It has about 125,000 miles on it and they (the dealership) are asking $3995. It has all the features I would want, but I'm worried about the number of miles on it! I don't know anything about cars, and I just wouldn't want it to break down! What do you think?

125k miles isn't that bad for a honda civic i suppose. a lot of people i've known who had a civic says they last like forever when taken care of. Granted that it's been properly maintained, there shouldn't be any problem. check their carfax report, and take it to a mechanic for inspection it's worth it rather than spend thousands of $$ for future repairs that a mechanic could've caught for you before buying

you're fairly in a niche - the two vehicles are super. Toyota for sure has an incredible acceptance and between the optimal resale values on the industry. The Prius is a superb vehicle, and toyota does not shrink corners on the mechanical factors of the vehicle - they do whether decrease priced out on indoors comforts. Seats are no longer as soft, the sprint interior of reason undeniable, yet different than which you cant bypass incorrect with the Toyota. The Mazda is an the two advantageous vehicle, however the three sequence is amazingly small. i does not experience very risk-free in an twist of destiny. I artwork on all varieties of autos, and function presently worked on a Mazda 3 - when I have been given in, it felt superb, the seat exchange into soft, and the interior regarded stable, yet I felt somewhat clostrophobic. having pronounced that i'm 6'a million. I incredibly have an 06 Toyota Tacoma with a 4 cyl. engine. i'm very unhappy with the gas performance, yet ought to no longer be happier with the remainder of the truck - stable in each way.

A Honda Civic is not too old at 125K. miles.
Does the dealer offer any warantee?
If you like the deal, invest $75.00 or so to have your mechanic check it out.
